417 Date (4/17) of 1999 when the "Texas Crazy Horse" Heath Herring fought twice at World Vale Tudo Federation in Durango, Colorado. Herring had last fought way back in November of 1997 when he avenged a loss to fellow Texan Evan Tanner, but certainly didn't show any signs of ring rust.

As the title states, on this night nine years ago Herring must've been in a hurry. First, he fought Nik Bickle in the seventh match of the evening and submitted him with strikes in only 0:32. He then took a drink of water and fought the last match of the night against Phil Deason and needed only 0:13 to submit him with a keylock.

The results were the two quickest fights of the night. As a matter of fact, Heath's combined fight time was still shorter than any of the other fights on the card. And there were a couple of guys who are now pretty well known fighting in the event, including Nathan Marquardt and Joey Villasenor.

After the victories Herring was 4-1 and they must've wetted his appetite. He fought eleven more times in 1999 and finished the year with an overall mark of 12-4. Apparently he's still hungry because after beating Cheick Kongo at UFC 82 on March 1, 2008 Herring is 28-13.

As of today, April 17, 2008 the victory over Phil Deason exactly nine years ago is still Herring's fastest, and the 0:32 beating of Bickle is now his third fastest.
