The Braves are falling fast.  5-9 record now.  I don't even know what to say Braves fans.  We have to keep the faith and hope these guys and pull through.  They WILL pull through.

Glavine and Hampton threw pain free from the mounds at Dophin stadium yesterday, which is good news.  Glav wont go on the DL and will make the start on Saturday at home against the Dodgers.  Hampton will need at least 2-3 rehab starts in Richmond before he can come back...he can come off the DL at anytime now.

Campillio looked sharp again last night, which is about the only good news to report.  Yunel Esocbar hit another 2-run dinger....which pulled us within one run...AGAIN.  We like losing one run games.  We have to stop this.

The bullpen didnt walk in any runs tonight...that has to be good right?

Let's see....so Smoltz is on the mound tonight vs the Marlins.....is Kelly Johnson striking out way too much or is it just me?  I thought this guy was suppose to be patient at the plate?

If Mark Kotsay grounds into one more double play......I really think Bobby needs to change the batting order.  Ruben Gotay and Gregor Blanco deserve a shot at starting now and then....I would like to see this batting order:

SS Yunel Escobar
LF/CF Mark Kotsay/Matt Diaz
3B Chipper Jones
1B Mark Teixiera
RF Jeff Francoeur
 C Brian McCann
2B Kelly Johnson
CF/LF Mark Kotsay/Matt Diaz

or shuffle Gotay, Prado, and Blanco in there once in awhile....to mix things up.

and the Bullpen....Jeff Bennett and Buddy Carlyle should only come in to START innings.  Chris Resop, Ohman, Acosta, and Royce Ring should be the mid inning guys, and Blaine Boyer should be the closer at the moment....or Acosta....assuming we have a lead to protect.

anyway, I better get this posted....keep the faith Braves Fans!!!

Braves @ Marlins tonight... Smoltz vs Nolasco

GO BRAVES!!!

When Glavine came back to Atlanta this year, someone asked him what the word was on our offense. He said you could start them 0-2, because they were all impatient at the plate. That's with the exception of Chipper Jones. Tom said, just don't let Chipper beat you. That's what the Mets scouting report was.

yeah, anyone can see that would be their scouting report, especially for Andruw Jones. Now that he's on the Dodgers the Braves better be smart and pitch him down and away....he'll chase those pitches for sure.
