The Dolphins added another safety to their crowded secondary, signing former North Carolina A&T safety Will Billingsley to a rookie free-agent contract.Billingsley, 5 feet 10 and 195 pounds, was eligible for the 2007 NFL Draft, but was not selected, and did not spend training camp on an NFL roster.

During his college years at North Carolina A&T, a Division I-AA school that competes in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, the Fort Wayne, Ind., native contributed 109 tackles, two interceptions and broke up 10 passes.

Billingsley, whose level of experience makes him a long shot to make the 53-man roster, is the fourth safety the Dolphins have either signed or re-signed this offseason.

Billingsley is most likely just a training camp player that was most likely brought in for the potential he could have on the team. He may have some upside but in order to stay on the team hes going to have to prove alot in training camp. The Dolphins obviously are trying to bolster the secondary by getting everything they can as well as special teams with most of the players who've been signed are special teams experts. The Dolphins must have seen something in Billingsley so maybe he can do something in training camp.

yeah somebody cares!!! Obviously you do or you wouldn't be here right??? Will Billingsley happens to be a very good player with the potential to be a great player. you have to start somewhere and if you know anything about football than you know a lot of unknown players and free agent practice squad players have done pretty good in the league plus the Dolphins need all the help they can get..
