Dodger Daydreams

The Los Angeles Dodgers are scheduled to play the Atlanta Braves tonight at 7:30 EST. The Braves, currently in fourth place in the National League East, have a pitiful 6-9 record in the 2008 Regular Season. Unfortunately, the Dodgers aren't far behind with an atrocious 7-8 record in 2008.

Derek Lowe is expected to be the starting-pitcher for the Dodgers. The hurler utilized his stellar sinker in his last outing against the San Diego Padres. Thankfully, the ace now has a 1-0 record with an Earned-Run Average of 1.80.

The Dodgers have sent down Ramon Troncoso. The relief pitcher posted an Earned-Run Average of 9.53 through five and 2/3 innings. He will be a great reliever to have on our roster in the future.

Nomar Garciaparra returned from the Disabled List on Wednesday. The third-baseman connected for a single and two walks. Unfortunately, the veteran also committed an error on the field. Hopefully, he will be an asset to the Dodgers' organization in 2008.

Rafael Furcal now leads Major League Baseball with a stunning .407 batting average. It is surprising to know that our very own shortstop is a candidate for the prestigious National League MVP Award. But, lets not count our chickens before they hatch.

Xeifrank of Dodger Sims predicts that the Dodgers will defeat the Atlanta Braves tonight. Los Angeles has won only four games of their last ten. Hopefully, Xeifrank's predictions will be correct.

Lastly, this will be the first time that Andruw Jones will be playing against the Atlanta Braves in his twelve-year career.  Jeff Francoeur, now blogging on our network, said that, ""I'd like to see our fans give him a good standing ovation and then give him a hand for what he's done for Atlanta for so long. It's not like he wanted out. It just kind of happened that way. So, it'd be nice to see them do that. He loves Atlanta. He's still got his house here. He's staying with his family. He loves Atlanta, and just happens to play somewhere else now. Hopefully the fans will give him what he deserves."
