Granderson Rehabs With The Whitecaps

Recovering from injury, Detroit Tigers center fielder Curtis Granderson played a rehab game with the Class A West Michigan Whitecaps. Granderson went 2-4 with a triple, but the effort was wasted as the 'Caps were beat 3-0 by the Burlington Bees. Justin Henry and Joe Tucker were the only other players to get a hit for West Michigan. Granderson tried to score, but was thrown out at home on a contact play. He will also be with the Triple A Toledo Mud Hens this weekend. A photo of Curtis can be seen in my images. Speaking of the Mud Hens, MiLB.com has featured Toledo in a special article similar to the one they did with West Michigan last month called 'At Home With The Toledo Mud Hens'. They talk about Toledo's baseball history dating back to 1883 and about the success of the franchise in recent years. Who can forget Jaimie Farr in M.A.S.H. sporting his Toledo stuff? If you've never been to a Mud Hens game, I highly recommend it. The stadium is first class, and sports one of the best baseball atmoshpere's I've ever experienced. The price is right, too: $8.00 behind the dugout. Here is the link to MiLB.com's story:
