The Atlanta Braves defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers last night, 6-1. Chipper Jones of the Braves smashed two home-runs in the game. Hopefully, the Dodgers will get a win tonight and even up their series with the Braves at 1-1.
Derek Lowe surrendered three earned runs in four and 1/3 innings pitched. He also walked four batters, although 57% of the pitches that he threw were strikes. As a result of this horrific performance, the pitcher's Earned-Run Average is now 2.59.
James Loney unfortunately snapped his 15-game hitting-streak. However, the slugger is still batting .339 in the 2008 Regular Season. Hopefully, the cease of this streak will not result in a slump or dip in his confidence.
Andy LaRoche is expected to return to the Dodgers' line-up by early may. The third-baseman is scheduled to report to Los Angeles' Spring Training facility on Monday. In other words, Nomar Garciaparra's days at the starting third-baseman for the Dodgers may be numbered.
Los Angeles will play the Atlanta Braves at 3:55 PM EST today. Chad Billingsley, currently with an 0-2 record in the Regular Season, is looking to get his first win. Hopefully, he will achieve his goal.
The Dodgers' line-up for tonight has been provided below:

When LaRoche comes back that good mean the end of DeWitt for awhile. I think he held his own and should get another chance, if there's an injury, or at least in Sept. Andrew Jones just hit a HR!!! Is he getting his punch back?

Perhaps. Andruw Jones is a decent CF for now.
