As I stated in a previous blog, I went to the Orange & White Game yesterday and saw the White team win 38-16. Before the game, I felt that the main thing that will decide if Tennessee does good is if the quarterback is consistent. Apparent-starter Jonathan Crompton completed 13-of-20 passes for 266 yards, threw three touchdowns, and only one interception. Overall, I now think that Tennessee looks to have everything it takes to fight with the Bulldogs, er, I mean Big Dogs.
The Running Back position seems full with Arian Foster and Lennon Creer, and the Wide Receivers and O-Line had a good game. The Defense also looked good, as well as the Special Teams. The only thing that may trouble Tennessee, however, is their schedule.
When looking at Tennessee's schedule, there is a possibility that they could finish the season5-7, but I don't see this happening. UCLA will play the Vols tough, but Tennessee will prevail. Tennessee will beat UAB, Northern Illinois, and Wyoming easily, and they will also beat Auburn, South Carolina, and Kentucky. The rest of the games are toss-ups. I think Tennessee will lose to Florida, beat Georgia(I hate to say), beat Mississippi State in a close game, lose to Alabama, and beat Vanderbilt. So in the end, I predict Tennessee will finish the regular season at 10-2.

Heh. UT doesn't have a chance against the dawgs. Georgia has a bye the week before UT. You know what happened last year to the team at home that DIDN'T have a bye. lol.

Tennessee-Georgia has been far more entertaining these past few years. It seems like year in and year out one of these two teams ends up being the thorn in the side of the other. Last season UT's victory cost Georgia a birth in the SEC Championship and inevitably the National Title game. It should be good again this year but I would look for Georgia to get a little revenge. That said I will root for my Vols and hope they can reach that lofty 10-2 plateau.

UT hasnt beat Auburn.............in a long while, UT can't beat Florida (Auburn does all the time), Yall cant beat GA when it matters and ya always luck up and get some help to get to Atlanta. - if Big John Chavis never learns to adjust during a game - ya guys will be LUCKY to finish 5-7. UT's generic offense (same one run for last 28 years) has nobody to EXECUTE it. Yep - it works when you have a Manning, Martin, Lewis, etc - Crompton??????? UH no. Remember - UT might have better talent, but Spurrier will always have yall's number............5-7 at best and Phatso gets canned at the end of the year.

I think TN will surprise a lot of people this year. This new offensive cord. is what they've been missing for years. I predict lots of points this year; just wait and see..
