After reading NYFAN-Wants More Football's blog about draft picks, I decided to create one similar for my favorite NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons. I'm not an expert on the draft, so I'm just going to do the Falcons' first two picks. Leave comments and tell me who you think they should pick.
Round 1, Pick #3: Jake Long, OT, Michigan: Look, I'm tired of arguing with my friends and family members that the Falcons shouldn't get a QB with the third pick, so let me set the record straight: the Falcons do need a QB, but their O-Line is horrible. The only QB that the "experts" say is going in the Top 5 is Matt Ryan, and I'm not completely sold on him. The Falcons need to build the Offensive Line now, so they can protect whoever is starting come August.
Round 2, Pick # 34: Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville: Going back to my previous statement, I'm not sold on Ryan, but I've got a feeling that Brohm will be a steal. These picks would build up the Falcons team and could help them rebuild faster than expected.

Interesting picks...I wouldn't be too sure that Jake Long is going to be there at 3 though...the Rams would be crazy to let him slip by..they need to do some work on their o-line as well.
