And now, it all comes down to Tuesday night...
Can you smell the fear in the Flyers, and their fans?? A week ago, everyone thought this was a fait accompli for the Flyers.
Apparently, Alex Ovechkin didn't get the memo. 2 goals tonight, to help the Caps roar back from a 2-0 deficit in the 1st period to win Game 6 by a 4-2 margin.
Do you still doubt me, FanNation?? Sure, I'm the guy who said the Caps would win it in 5...I was a little off on that, I admit. But I can guarantee you this: Flyers fans would be hard pressed to admit they saw this series going 7 games, either.
So tomorrow night, the eyes of the hockey world will be trained on the Verizon Center. Good. That's how it should be. Let 'em see the hardest working men on ice--my Washington Capitals--show not just the hockey world, but the sporting world, what perseverence is all about. Win, lose, or draw...yes, I know there's sudden-death overtime, but work with me here...America (and parts of Canada...lol) will see what I've been honored to watch these last 5 months.
That is, a group of individuals...who became a TEAM, for the ages...and it looks as though the ride ain't over just yet.
GO CAPS!!!
