Max Starks Signs One-Year Transition Tender

PITTSBURGH — Steelers’ offensive lineman Max Starks has signed his one-year tender offer, it was announced today. Starks (6-8, 337) will enter his fifth year with the Steelers after being drafted by the team in the third round (75th overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft. Starks has appeared in 56 career games with 34 starts, including four in 2007. Starks, an unrestricted free agent, was designated by the Steelers as a transition player, giving the Steelers the right to match any offers he received from other teams. – 30 –
