Here is the Plot for the Elite Tournement

 First off I would suggest a limit of 32 players-

A- The thought is to take the Top 16 by Winning %

B- Then the Top 8 By overall wins

C- And Finally 8 people as voted on by the FNC (or other such group)

ANY memeber of the Hall of Fame that is not in either group A or B is AUTOMATIC to group C

Other people for group C I would look at people such as

 Ed Reed Fan:Go O's!!!

Dennis 24

and so forth-

Now we may not get the top 16 on the leaderboard or the top 8 in wins- either due to FEAR or other excuses reasons, So If "J" declines for example- then number 17 on the leaderboard gets an invite

I would seed the tourney this way

A group get homefeild- and seeds 1-16 then I would get seed 17 - taking on the lowest of group A- then the highest vote getter of group C would get 18 and face DetroitFan . Then Roger with 19 and so forth- eventually leading to the lowest vote getter in C group getting 32 and facing J

 Why like this? Because the people in group A have the most to lose- If D-Fan or J loses then they can get taken off the overall leaderboard- a loss for Me or Roger or CCC means next to nothing in the grand scheme.

for this same reason I am against a double elimination- proper seeding should give a fair winning- and winning ANY tourney with D-fan, Porkins, Ed Reed or CCC is good enough for ANYONE

I would state that EACH person MUST submit TWO sports of the big 3 (NFL,NBA,MLB) and the higher seed PICKS the SPORT - and THREE Topics off the List and weather or not to start it- then the Lower Seed has to start it with one of the THREE topics chosen

For example- D-Fan and I are matched up (It happens with us)

He has NFL and MLB, I have NFL and NBA- So the Sport is NFL as the only common one ( D-Fan DOES have the choice to go NBA IF he wishes - but I cannot FORCE him to pick an NBA sport- Higher seed chooses Sport)

He then picks 3 TD topics from the NFL list and tells me either I challange him or he challanges me

Then I as the lower seed choose ONE of the three topics- then I challange him or fannmail him my choice and  wait for him to challange me
