I have MLB 2K8. I'm in a franchise with the Mets. Yesterday I was locked up in a 1-1 battle with the Atlanta Braves. I have my bullpen going because Orlando Hernandez, who's doing great with me all game with only a solo shot gave up, is getting tired.

I get out of the 7th inning with El Duque at 1% Stamina. Dauner Sanchez is in the bullpen; I'm hoping for runs in the bottom of the 8th so he can set up Billy Wagner. I go 1-2-3 in the 8th, though, but I put Sanchez in because according to ERA he's a reliable reliever and I don't have too many of those.

Orlando Hernandez

So what does he do? He Sanchez ruins a great start by Hernandez by giving up a 2 run shot. Then I give up an 2-RBI triple because of a glitch. The ball bounced and went through the wall. My guy finally picks it up inside the wall and throws it in. 5-1, Braves.

Duaner Sanchez

I get one run off David Wright, going from 1st base to home on a shot into the outfield. The 9th inning comes and Duaner's gone; Billy Wagner goes 1-2-3.

Now I have 3 outs and 3 runs to go. I get first and second base filled with runners and only one out. Both of them got on by hitting a line drive off the pitcher. Next batter: line drive, shortstop dives and catches it.

Next batter: 2 foul balls deep down the right line. One home run ties it, so what do I do? I foul out. I lost, 5-2.

It was great, let me tell ya, having everything but runs in the 8th and 9th. And blowing a great start with a 4 run inning right when the 'pen was opened up for Sanchez.

Take 2...I have MLB '08 (the Show) for PS2, and I'm the Nats (DUH!!!).
In THAT world, the Nats have 2 more wins than in real life...haven't played tonight's game yet.
Who has a more painful fandom?? Me for the Nats, Thug for his Raiders, or J. Hova for HIS Jets?? Shame we can't take these video game teams of ours, and have THEM play in the "real" world. If we did, the Redskins would've won Super Bowl XLII (which they DID, in my Madden game...WITH Sean Taylor, BTW).
