There are a bunch of other things happening in the World of Sports, such as my Padres sucking balls, the Dolphins signing Jake Long, and the Ducks losing in the first round to the Dallas **** Stars. Well, not so much the Dolphins signing (I mean, who cares...). But nothing comes close to the machine that is manifested as The Lakers.
Kobe was off, for sure, but he still went for his usual 30, while Lamar played like an All-Star, and Pau played like an MVP. Farmar was really good in the beginning of the year, but lately, he has played pretty bad, missing open shots, and turning the ball over frequently. I actually prefer Vujacic over Farmar, even though they play different positions(kind of, Vujacic could play the point, and has before). I love Fisher even more because he listened to me and stopped driving into the paint(only to get his ass blocked), and started to play the "facilitator" role that he should be in. He also IS pretty clutch in the playoffs(remember the shot that put away the Philadelphia Iversons?) Anyways, the Nugs are as good as swept, with not enough personnel to guard the Lakers. Actually, no team has the personnel, except for the Spurs, Celtics, Pistons, and the Timberwolves. Haha....
I also want to give out sincere condolences to A.I., because(this was already mentioned by someone over at ESPN) he plays his heart out no matter what the circumstances, in this case, basically a hopeless cause. Also Kenyon Martin, because he barely made it back from knee problems, only to be assigned to Kobe, shut him down for a while, and to have teammates that can't step up(Carmelo), scrubs that can't really play in the Association(Anthony Carter), and inconsistent players(J.R. Smith).
I look forward to seeing the Utah Jazz in the next round. They look pretty scary right now, but we'll see. And I'm not scared of jinxing the Lakers, because it'll take more than a jinx to stop the Lakers from winning the best of seven series.
It's late. Peace.
