Benny is the Bull's mascot and and probably the mascot with the longest criminal record in America.

In the 90's, Benny the Bull was pulled over for speeding and when police searched his car they found marijuana. Benny the Bull was driving while high on pot.

That Benny the Bull was fired. Later on he was replaced by a new Benny, Barry Anderson.

New Benny's troubles started in July 2006, when he was arrested after performing at the "Taste of Chicago". Benny was riding a miniature motorcycle down the sidewalk in his costume without permission or a permit to do so, so when an off-duty police officer told him to stop, Benny booked it. The officer caught up with him, and apparently Benny took a swing at the him, breaking his glasses. When questioned by police Benny stated he was only trying to stay in character. He was charged with battery and driving within a parkway, and he also had to buy the off duty officer a new pair of glasses.

And just recently, Benny has been sued again, this time by an oral surgeon, Dr. Don Kalant, who claims that Benny the Bull hyperextended his arm when Kalant, who was sitting courtside, raised his hand for a high five and Benny grabbed it in an effort to keep himself from falling.

Kalant needed surgery and is expected to miss 4 months from work, and he's suing the Bull for his medical bills, physical pain and lost earnings, claiming Benny was being negligent when he grabbed Kalant's hand.
