Its about time. Taking 3 of 4 from the White Sox. Only 2 games under .500. I think we're finally back on track with still a large chunk of the payroll on the DL. We've found a new closer in Accardo, and even a better set-up man in Casey Jannsen. Heck even guys like Brian Tallet are keeping us in the game. The only downer is Vernon Wells. V-Dub, your going to have a good 2nd half of the season but HOW MANY 0-2 COUNTS have you been in?
John Gibbons has redeemed himself. Well really Brad Arnsberg has. Mickey Brantley is slowly but has Arnsberg to thank for great pitching. I personally think someone should ask Larry Walker what his coaching aspirations are. Larry Walker would be a decent hitting coach. And he is Canadian. Thats always a bonus.
Is it just me or is Alex Rios a good player? And Aaron Hill, I underestimated you at the start of this season. I was a believer in Russ Adams over Aaron Hill not even one year ago and he proved me wrong.
All I'm hoping for is a wild card race. I'd LOVE to see things a little more interesting in the AL East as well, and with Tampa Bay in town, this is the best opportunity to start.
