We all knew that Lebron James' otherworldly talent would be good for at least a couple of single handed wins in the playoffs this year. If you're like me, after game 1 vs. Washington, you were thinking "Well, there's one. How many more times can he save his team from it's lack of chemistry in these playoffs?". But as Cleveland's game 2 blowout of the Wizards wound down, there were very encouraging signs that perhaps the team has finally come together, not a second too late, and are at last on the same page. Cleveland didn't just get a convincing win Moday night- they convincingly overcame a TON of adversity together and demolished their opponent. Lebron dished out 12 assists with only 1 turnover Monday night, because his teammates were finally hitting the open shots and playing with some familiarity in Cleveland's offense. And their defense finally is resembling that of the team that made it to the NBA Finals last year.

I know, I know... one game is just one game. This series ain't over till it's over. But I have to say that there is something very encouraging about the way Lebron's teammates finally seemed to get it Tuesday night, and how Lebron was so focused and so brilliant that even Washington's thug antics (like the scary flagrant foul by Brendan Haywood that sent Lebron tumbling to the floor) have not fazed him. If anything, it seems like the Wizards' attempts to bully the Cav's have actually helped Cleveland's chemistry by getting them in to fight mode together. It seems like a strange strategy on Wahington's part anyway, as Lebron has proved several times this season that when someone gives him a reason to be angry, it only aggravates his killer instinct.

Wizard's kamikazi antics aside, this series is suddenly very much worth watching. Even if it is only the start of a sleeping giant's awakening.

the only problem is that the Wizards are not that good of team, i think Lebron is a great player, but maybe you should wait until they face a better team to start drawing conclusions.

I stand painfully corrected. Last night's meltdown was the exact opposite of the Cavaliers' triumph in game 2. Any progress the Cavs showed Monday night seems a distant memory after Cleveland suffered it's ugliest loss in recent memory... It appears I forgot to factor in how Cleveland's role players don't seem to have the same life on the road as they do at Quicken Loans Arena.
