The first round was an exciting one and 8 teams were eliminated, 3 in game 7's, 1 in a game 5, 2 in Game 6, and one sweep. Only two of my predictions was wrong, the length on most of them were wrong, but the point is I got the winners. So here are my previews and predictions:

Montreal vs. Philly

this should be a good series, it should be like the boston series, where the Canadiens had their way with the team all regular season and the hard hitting Flyers will push the Canadiens to their limit. Montreal will win because they are better and the better team usually wins as the playoffs go on.

Verdict- Montreal in 6

PPR(Physical Play Rating)- 8 out of 10

New York vs Pittsburgh

This series could be interesting with a handful of future hall of famers in the series and Jagr playing against the team he won two Stanley Cups with, the penguins. I feel sorry fo Marc-Andre Fluery, who has to deal with Sean Avery which a veteran like Brodeur could not do. The Pens just have too much firepower for the Rangers and super-pest Sean Avery to handle.

Verdict- Pens in 5

PPR- 6 out of 10

Colorado vs Detroit

This is a 90's flashback, with some of the main part of this old playoff rivalry intact. All we need is a Patrick Roy Chris Osgood fight and it will feel like the olden days. it won't be the same because both teams have so many young players who were in midget watching the old series on TV. The fans will be into it and this should be an exciting sereis.

Verdict- Detroit in 6

PPR-10 out of 10

Stars Vs Sharks

By far the best matchup of the round, with both teams that had an arms race on deadline day to become the best in the west and now they can prove it. The Sharks have too much momentum to lose to a Stars team with scoring problems

Verdict- Sharks in 7

PPR- 5 out of 10

That's all folks

I'll go along with you on Montreal and the Pens moving on; the West might surprise a lot of people. I won't predict THAT conference.
