Unfortunately, I was unable to watch any hockey last night but did follow it on the live scoreboards from nhl.com and espn.com. As I'm sitting there, I saw the Flyers were up 2-0 through the first period and was like sweet they might pull this off. After the 2nd period and saw the score was tied 2-2, I was hesitant and thought that Montreal was getting the win. However seeing the Flyers up with like thee minutes, I thought there was no way they'd blow it.
Sure enough they did. With 28 seconds, Alexei Kovalev tied the game and they ended up winning in overtime. Why am I disapoointed the Flyers lost? Well being a Penguins fan, I generally take comfort in watching the Flyers lose games like that. However, last night I was somewhat hoping they would win. You see, I really would like to see the Penguins play the Flyers in the next round of the playoffs. I want to see Gary Roberts (WWGRD) and Georges Laraque go to town on cheap players likes Briere and put them into place. Although we lost the season series to the Flyers, I would have no worries about playing them the next round regardless of who they beat.
I seriously believe that whoever wins the series between the Pens and Rangers will go to the next round. Both teams have solid goaltending, defenses that keep getting stronger, and gamebreakers.
Go Pens.

if you saw the game, there were 2 bad calls that cost the flyers. They called a kovalev goal that was hit w/ a high stick a goal, depsite reviewing it. They called Richards for "kneeing" with 30 seconds left. Seriously, kneeing?

That sucks. I saw it was a PP goal, I just didn't know if the PP was warranted or not. Thanks for the info though.
