Busy week looking ahead of us, with several key top of the table matches that will prove to be exciting.

Week 5 got under way slowly but surely with New England Revs ending FC Dallas' unbeaten streak in a sloppy 1-0 win with a goal from Khano Smith in the 72nd minute being the difference maker.

The game defidently had its fair share of slow matches and was a major contrast to Europe's Champion League play, but regardless it was the Beautiful Game won ugly, and the Revs now share first place in the Eastern Conference with Kansas City.

Kenny Cooper led Dallas but could not get a shot past the Rev's GK Matt Reis, and New England eventually won 1-0.

Toronto are coming off of only their second two-game winning streak in team history, so the fans will be flying high, praying for a third when the 1st place Wizards come to BMO Field. The Wizards are in first place and look to be ready to handle a packed house in Toronto.

 Houston Dynamo vs Columbus Crew

Columbus are flying high right now and are currently in 3rd place in the East, a point behind New England and Kansas City. In contrast, the Dynamo have struggled early and are currently holding the worst record in the MLS, failing to win a game so far. Houston has no signs of life and the ambulance has a flat tire, so no win for the Dynamo in Columbus, but soon they'll come around.

My Prediction: 3-1 Columbus

 Real Salt Lake vs DC United

Though DC United are notoriously a dangerous team and Salt Lake are known as the exact opposite, it's Real Salt Lake who has started out the season well, rather than the four-time champ DC United. Salt Lake are currently in 3rd place in the West (though they would be in 6th place if they were in the East) and DC United are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a lousy 3 points. DC United will spring to life, soon, though, and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt this weekend.

 Colorado Rapids vs Chicago Fire

This weekend's most exciting fixture features the West's second place Rapids (two points behind first) meeting the East's fourth place Chicago Fire (three points behind first) in a matchup that brings one of the best offenses against one of the best defenses. Colorado has scored 7 goals this season thus far, ranking them near the top, while Chicago has conceded a league low 2. It will be interesting how these two teams play out, but Chicago will be playing with more focus and determination after losing 1-0 to the Wizards last weekend, though controlling most of the game.

My Prediction: 2-0 Chicago

Christian Gomez has played a big part in the Rapid's attack this season.

 Chivas USA vs Los Angeles Galaxy

Both sides are desperate for wins. This game all depends on if Donovan and Beckham decide to come out and play. If they play well, LA will win. If not, Chivas will. Neither club is looking well early in the campaign, so this may be a low scoring contest, but either way the fans will come out to the Home Depot Center in full force for their hero DB23.

 San Jose Earthquakes vs NY Red Bulls

San Jose is flying high after their first win in two years against Colorado last weekend, and the Red Bulls are struggling for the proper form, winning their last game in Week 1. However, Joltin' Jozy Altidore, the MLS's prodigy son, looks to have found his form after scoring spectacularly two weeks ago against the Revs. Juan Pablo Angel and Joltin' Jozy will be able to start alongside each other for the first time this season, and the two should be able to easily burn out any Earthquake defense.
