The Steelers 1st Round Pick in the NFL Draft went to "RB Rashard Mendenhall" out of Illinois. Somewhat of a shocking pick for Steeler fans, Rashard is 5'11" tall & tops the scales @ 225lbs. Was a freshman redshirt who went on to rush for 1,681 yds & 17 tds his senior year as a "Fighting Illini". Truely impressive stats... He's got muscle & the speed to boot. Looking foreward to seeing this bad boy suit up in the ole Black n' Gold. Great move for the Steelers as Rashard will make one heck of a fabulous addition to the team.....
The Steelers 2nd Round Pick in the NFL Draft was "WR Limas Sweed" out of Texas. He is 6'5" & weighs 215lbs... Big Ben's wish for a tall WR definately came true with this acrobat from Texas... Had his best season while a junior w/ 801 yrds recieving & 12 tds... Considered a leader w/ a great set of hands by his teammates... Ward, Holmes, & Sweed sure sounds sweet... Don't you agree.....
