1. Martin Biron, Flyers: Philadelphia's netminder is making his first trip through the playoffs a memorable one. Biron stopped 32 shots and came up big after Philadelphia built a 3-0 lead. Though he surrended two goals during a third-period power play, he ultimately thwarted Montreal's rally, giving the Flyers a commanding lead in the series.

2. R.J. Umberger, Flyers: Umberger left the game briefly in the third period after getting tripped up along the boards, but he scored his fourth goal of the series in the second period and led the team with four shots. Umberger has scored in all three games after not scoring in three straight games the entire regular season.

3. Montreal's special teams: The Canadiens did not surrender a shot in three penalty-killing situations and  scored twice during a five-minute major in the third period to get back in the game. One missed opportunity came in the first period, when the Canadiens hit the post twice during a 5-on-3 advantage.
