The Los Angeles Dodgers successful swept the Colorado Rockies with a 3-2 victory on Sunday. James Loney knocked in the winning-run on a single in the 10th inning. The Dodgers now have a 12-13 record with only two more games in the month of April.

Esteban Loaiza made his return to the Dodgers' starting-rotation yesterday. The pitcher surrendered two runs in five innings on the mound. It is reassuring to know that Los Angeles has a solid rotation with Loaiza as a spot-starter.

Cory Wade pitched two innings, giving up only one hit. The relief pitcher's Earned-Run Average is currently 2.25. As long as Joe Torre doesn't overuse the reliever, Wade looks like a premiere ace in the Dodgers' bullpen.

Jonathan Broxton came into the game to pitch one full inning. The hurler did not give up a hit, but walked two batters. It is only time before the 23-year old pitcher becomes the Dodgers' primary closer.

Joe Beimel was credited with the win, pitching one scoreless inning. His Earned-Run Average during the 2008 Regular Season is currently 1.04. Hopefully, he will continue to be an integral component of the Los Angeles Dodgers' success.

Blake DeWitt struck out three times in yesterday's game. However, the third-baseman sped around the bases for a triple. He is still looking like a better alternative at third-base than the currently injured Nomar Garciaparra.

Andruw Jones also struck out three times. The former-Brave now has a low-.159 Batting-Average during the 2008 Regular Season. The Dodgers' outfielder has been the victim to a plethora of criticism thus far.

Jones said, "If you're not doing good, fans have the right to boo you. If you [stink], you [stink]. You just have to go out, keep grinding and stay positive." Hopefully, the center-fielder will start producing respectable statistics and will not be subject to such "boos."

The Los Angeles Dodgers have a three-game series against the Florida Marlins later in the week. The Marlins currently have a 15-10 record in the 2008 Regular Season. Hopefully, the Dodgers will extend their three-game winning-streak during this season.
