I just got home from game five of the playoff series between the Orlando Magic and the Toronto Raptors...it was insane. I seriously think i might have damaged my hearing; the crowd was absolutely electric. The magic played just so-so for the first 3 and a half quarters, then got serious for the last 7 minutes. Keith Bogans, after going 1-7 from 3-point range, hit two big ones in the fourth. Dwight Howard (a.k.a. Superman) put up his third 20-20 game (including 11 offensive rebounds) in the five game series, something absolutely unheard of.
Jameer Nelson continued to impress the hell out of me in this playoff series, he again outshined the Raptors point guard combo of Calderon and Ford. Lewis also had another impressive game, posting 13 boards for the second straight game to go along with his 18 points. Our defense stood its ground when necessary (especially on Bosh who shot a measly 7-19 from the field) and with a 10 point lead with 2 minutes left the Magic never looked back.
We'll have to wait a couple days to see if we play either Philly or Detroit....I wouldn't mind getting a piece of the pistons after last years sweep. We are clearly not the same team as last year, and even though Turkoglu struggled with his shooting in the series, we still found a way to get it done. Round 2, here we come!
