I was reading a comment on a Falcons related article where someone suggests "move Vick to running back". I don't get this. It's my opinion that the whole reason Michael Vick is such a running threat is BECAUSE of the fact that he is a QB.
To me it's pretty easy. What happens when a running back gets the ball? Everyone screams "RUN" and then go after them. What happens when Vick rolls out? There are a several defensive players that are on the brink of soiling themselves thinking:
"Is he going to run? Is he going to pass? I think I will play the pass. Oh crap, he just juked me and he has run for first down"
Actually it happens way faster than that and I bet the defender is more likely simply thinking "Oh crap". Anyway my point is that is the reason why his average rushing yards per gain was a freakish 8.4. Vick's running success is mainly due to fear of the unknown.

Vick reminds me of Allen Iverson. Not because he is the best player on a mediocre team like AI was with the 76ers, but because he is an albatross. With Vick, the Falcons will never go to the Superbowl because as exciting as he is, he's as dumb as a brick and people have to accept that he's never going to be an accurate passer or anything more than a great athlete. His massive contract and poor understanding of the west coast offense (which is pretty simple compared to what teams like the patriots and colts use) cripple the falcons. Arthur Blank's infatuation with him is the only reason he hasn't been cut yet. I'd rather have a traditional pocket quarterback with a fully developed frontal lobe than Vick any day of the week, thank you very much.
