DC Sports Nut: Nats, AGAIN??
|

So, here we sit 24 hours away from Game 5 of the Wizards-Cavs series. And, it appears that the Wiz just aren't committed to focusing on basketball; rather, we've had to endure everything BUT the game(s).

At least I give "King" LeBron credit for honesty. They asked him if he thought the Wizards could come back from a 3-1 deficit. His answer?? "Do I think they can?? No.". I hate to admit it, but he's on to something. Too many damned distractions going on here...and now both Jay-Z and Soulja Boy have injected themselves into this running feud between LeBron and DeShaun Stevenson.

(If you haven't read Mike Wise's column in Sunday's Washington Post, or if it's not in your local paper, try to get hold of it. It'll explain it much better than I can.)

But anyway, to the purpose of this entry.

We just found out Game 5's starting time, is...6 o'clock Eastern time tomorrow. It's not a typo, gang. The game starts @ 6. Does David Stern realize, that West Coast viewers are probably going to be in bumper-to-bumper rush-hour traffic when the opening tipoff occurs?? In fact, I'm not sure if TNT or ESPN's doing this game. (I think it's TNT.)

Just what in the fricking hell is so important, that this game gets shunted to the dinner hour?? I'd love to know, and so would a slew of others around the NBA and sporting world.
