Despite the best attempts of the referees to hand this series to "King" LeBron and his court, we'll have a Game 6 @ the Verizon Center on Friday. Nice to see Caron Butler step up for the game winner, even as I'm disappointed that Gil couldn't suit up.
Now, I'm only going to say this once: the crap call on Darius Songaila in the 1st quarter is just that...crap. I mean, look at the replay. His arm and LeBron's are entwined, and clearly what you see is Songaila trying to free his arm--and accidentally clocking "King" LeBron under the chin. And they call a technical on Songaila??? Puh-LEEZE!!!
It reminded me of Joey Porter, after the Steelers had beaten Indy on their way to the Super Bowl, when he commented on Troy Polomalu's interception (that the officials took away from him, tho the replay clearly shows it was a pick). The line went:
"I know Peyton Manning is supposed to be the 'chosen one' and all, but c'mon man, who are we kidding??"
Substitute LeBron James for Peyton Manning, and you see what we Wizards fans (and the rest of NBA Nation) have to go up against. This is what's been happening all throughout this series. Notice how LeBron, after Songaila gets his arm loose, "conveniently" falls backwards. I can't recall the last time I saw bad acting along those lines...
Yet, there is going to be a Game 6. There'll be no fat lady tonight.
