Well it's no secret that latly Notre Dame has been struggling and what kind of SEC fan would that make me if I didn't go and add insult to injury so heres my list of five reasons why Notre Dame won't join a major conference. Some of them are funny, but all of them are true.
5. It would take away that pretty NBC contract they got and if your gonna be bad, you might as well make money while doing it.
4. They might be forced to be challenged by a schedule (unless they join the Big 11, we all know the Big 11 scheduling people take good care of their power houses).
3. It might benefit towards us finally getting a playoff, God forbid Notre Dame has to work for a national championship.
2. All the tiny Big 11 or Big East coaches will make Charlie Wies look like a blimp by comparison.
1. With all of the conference schedule ND won't have room to play their part of the schedule where they play teams that used to make them look good by comparison (Duke, Navy, Army, Air Force, Temple, Stanford)

ND has always been overrated and always will be. I liked your post, made me smile. They did have a good recruiting class this year though, but only time will tell if blimpo can teach his players anything other than how to eat.

"They might be forced to be challenged by a schedule (unless they join the Big 11, we all know the Big 11 scheduling people take good care of their power houses)."
Unlike the SEC, which makes sure their teams take on powerhouses like Louisiana-Monroe every season

What a joke.
LSU has only been good in the last ten years. All of a sudden you think you're God's gift to college football??
Look the finger that's pointed at ND & coach Weis, about the schedule, or if they should join the little 11, or the BigEast should be pointing at Kevin White, ND's AD.
The teams ND played last year, 7 or 8 went to a bowl game & overall was in the top ten in strength of schedule.
This year is much softer. But all any team can do is try & win every game they play.
Your team would LOVE IT if they had a TV contact with NBC.....
And don't look for a playoff anytime soon.

Yes the SEC does play the hardest non conference schedule with the likes of North Texas, Troy, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Appalachian State, Western Illinois, Norfolk State and Tulane, just to name a few.
At least ND plays all D-1 schools. Lets look at their schedule this year USC, BC, Mich, Mich St., Purdue and Navy all teams that went to a bowl game last year and should go this year.

Wow 11 national titles. I'd be willing to wager that more than half of the players on those teams are dead.
And LSU also plays the SEC schedule and at east one decently tough OOC team. ND plays normally about 4 difficult teams each year, LSU plays around 6 or 7 each year.
And xxx84xxx thanks because I have never laughed so hard in my life because last I checked the second or third best team in the SEC 3 years ago beat ND 48-14
why do you feel the need to rip my tigers, Probably because you have defense for your Pathetic ND team

I have no problem with Notre Dame ... When ND comes on the tube, I just turn the channel. No Problem. I can't fault them for their TV contract. NBC signed it too.
I do, however, like to watch the game for the Jeweled Shillelagh with USC each year though. It's sort of lost meaning the last couple of years.

What would happen if the lot of us would all turn our televisions when the N.D. Fighting Irish came on? Hey why do you Irish get so much money for not making the BCS? Talking about unfair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone explain what I consider to be unfair to over 100 D1 schools in the country? Why does N.D. get paid so much for not being invited to a BCS game? That's how you force them to join a conference, make them earn something for a change!!!!
