Tottenham boss Juande Ramos will offer cash-strapped Valencia £16m for striker David Villa to replace Dimitar Berbatov at White Hart Lane. (Daily Mail)
Yesterday it was Samuel Eto'o. Today it's David Villa. Tottenham just seem to be looking for a world-class striker. Any world-class striker. Doesn't matter. As long as Tottenham pick up a good name that will produce for the team this tranfer window they'll be looking to sign him. I'm not so sure they're really zeroing in on anyone as of yet.
However I'm hearing other rumors that Tottenham has put aside 16 million pounds ($31.6 million) for Valencia's striker. Maybe I'm wrong?
Arsene Wenger will rebuff any offer from AC Milan for Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor. (Daily Express)
Adebayor has been good for Arsenal but he's had the chances to be great for the Gunners. His inconsistancy has been a key factor in several Arsenal losses, but his fantastic weaving and ability to find open space is what has guarenteed them several wins.
Wenger apparently wants to keep Adebayor around, hoping for a breakout season from him next year. Gunners fans may not be happy with this news but I agree with Wenger. Adebayor's been a big key to this club's success this season. Arsenal has some gaps to take care of during the transfer window and if a world-class striker isn't brought to London then I see reason for Adebayor to stay.
A close associate of Frank Rijkaard has told the media that the Barca Manager will be leaving in the summer (transfermarketweb.com)
Rumors of Rijkaard's leaving Barcelona have been floating around for quite some time, but for the most part have been mere speculation.
This is the first significant, convincing news that Rijkaard will be leaving, as neither he nor Barcelona have announced that Rijkaard will be leaving. If Frank does leave it won't be a heavy blow for either side, though. Barca has the prestige to bring on another top level manager, and other clubs will be begging for Frank to sign for them. (Thaksin Shinawatra is jumping for joy with this news)
Slow rumor day today. I'm affraid that's all I've got...

After hearing yesterday that Tottenham were looking to swap Dimitar Berbatov for Samuel Eto'o, Tottenham are now setting their sights on Spanish goalscorer David Villa.

Report Offensive CommentIf Tottenham's willing to go to 16 million, you can bet your bippy Real will go to 20 million and up.
A swap of Berbatov for Eto'o is far more likely to happen.
