If he paid attention to the flailing arm signals, he would have seen that Peyton Manning was calling for the Shotgun instead.

But in all seriousness, from Philly sources: According to some sources, the the gun used in the shooting was definitely Harrison's, and the investigation right now suggests that it "doesn't look good" for Marvin. The gun used in the shooting is apparently a very expensive, custom-made job that uses 50mm bullets....The Philly police are hesitating about naming Harrison. According to one source, all he said was that "There's a local guy who plays pro football who is being investigated."

"The gun used in the shooting is apparently a very expensive, custom-made job that uses 50mm bullets"

"Of course, the fan reception is over the top. On ESPN's boards, which are notorious for being the gathering grounds of the world's biggest idiots, the grammar-deprived posters have compared him to Michael Vick, a dog-killer, and said he murdered someone. If you ever feel like a moron, just go on those boards to read some of the posts"

And I thought the idiots on FanNation were bad....

More details:Police came to scene, but the victim did not identify a shooter. On Wednesday, according to the source, ballistic tests showed that the gun that had fired the shots was a custom-made Belgian weapon, and police determined that Harrison owned such a gun.

Police then went to a Philadelphia car wash owned by Harrison to question him about the gun. Harrison admitted owning such a weapon, but claimed it never left his suburban Philadelphia home.

However, the source said the gun was discovered in a bucket at the car wash, and tests showed that it had fired seven bullets that matched those found at the scene.

Yeah ill remember its "alleged", but his gun is the gun used and it was found at his car wash 3 blocks away from the bar. Either someone really went to a lot of trouble to frame him or he shot the dude.

Does not look good for Marvin. Kinda hard to own a 50mm registered handgun, be the owner of the establishment where the shooting occurs (after arguing with the victim and following him outside) and the owner of the establishment where the gun is found and claim no knowledge or involvement in the incident. Either Harrison did it or he damn sure knows who did.

Some info has come to my attention. Since I know nothing about guns, apparently a 50mm caliber shot would send someone of Marvin Harrison's size of about 5-7 (I was bigger than him in sixth grade), and it would be impossible for someone on his ass to get off 7 shots. I'm sure that will come up in court.

Good blog. The thing that I'm curious about is that if this is actually true, and that Harrison actually shot the guy in the hand.
