Being a professional athlete can't be that difficult can it? How hard can it be to just not get yourself in trouble? I guess it's much harder than I thought.
I compare being a professional athlete to seeing an ex girlfriend(to all the females who are reading these just change girl to boy if you so choose). In my crazy analogy being a professional athlete is like having a new girlfriend....and you're incredibly happy with your new girlfriend. But, then you see her..you see your ex girlfriend. So for some reason you go over to her and start talking to her...and you start to remember all the great times you had with her. So, after this you decide you're not gonna see the old girlfriend any more....but you can't you have to keep seeing her. Soon you're wanting to get back together with your old girlfriend and just leave your new girlfriend.
Did I confuse you? Allow me to connect the dots. The new girlfriend is like being a professional athlete...then there's the ex girlfriend who is your old friends. And it's like when you see that ex of yours or those old friends....you start to relive all of those old memories. The only problem is now you've got a much better job..so what was just innocent hanging out turns into something else. That's when problems start.
Another problem that happens is you go back to the same places that you and your ex or old friends used to go...those bad areas when you were still younger are just as bad if not worse now. These pro athletes seem to forget about there responsibilities as a professional athlete when they are with there ex or old friends.
I don't blame these professional athletes for wanting to be with there old friends(ex girlfriends), they had a lot of fun with them and they grew up with them..and these athletes want to share there wealth. They want to help there friends out. I can respect that..but you've got to make sure you're keeping yourself out of trouble.
My advice to these athletes...remember why you broke up with your girlfriend(cut off contact with friends). Please leave comments or thoughts..thanks for reading
