Corpus Christi, TX native and wife of Tony Parker must be upset after watching her San Antonio Spurs go down 2 games to the New Orleans Hornets. Or is she?

Let’s not forget that there was rumor of Parker text messaging some hot-to-trot young vixen a few months back.  Where he gets the time to do these alleged things is beyond me. With winning Championship after Championship, you would think he would be busy with practice, endorsements, and keeping a handle on his Desperate Housewife.

I would say it’s karma, but that can’t be the case. Karma for Parker would be him breaking a leg or dislocating his shooting hand. It can’t be karma because this losing thing is affecting Tim Duncan as well.

Almost 18,000 fans witnessed the Hornets go up 2-0 in the seven game series. They, along with millions of home viewers watched Duncan only put in 18 points after a playoff career low 5 points in the series opener. Duncan is a good guy, so it can’t be karma.

In general, most San Antonians are good people. I love the River Walk and the Mexican food takes me back to my younger days in Corpus Christi as well. Good Mexican food is a blessing, not a curse. So it can’t be karma for the people of San Antonio.

So what is it then? Why are the Spurs down two? Answer: Chris Paul!

Paul is doing what Parker used to do. He is running the show. He is getting Peja Stojakovic the open looks. He is creating for David West.

The Hornets may actually come out of this as the team that moves on to the next round. And maybe it won’t be because of karma. Maybe it’s because the Spurs are getting older. Maybe their reign on the NBA is over. Maybe the Hornets are just the better team this playoff series.

And maybe Eva Longoria – Parker won’t be pissed. She is still getting to witness some pretty great hoops… it’s just not coming from the Spurs.
