What is sport? Why do we care? What drives our endorphins to rush when someone wearing our favorite uniform dunks, slides across home plate, or extends the ball for the last inches to break the plane?
We won't tell you why you love sports, why you wake up in the middle of the night to check
your fantasy lineup, or why you scream at the television all weekend. We will not tell you why your favorite player leaves in free agency, or why your team wasted its first-round draft pick on that overrated waste of a jersey.
We will only tell you the truth. The truth of sports is written; the truth of sports is past; it is for everyone to enjoy. The truth of sports is that every move made in the field of play is recorded for history; where men and women are measured in cold, hard numbers. Those numbers, though, are so much more than the measures of their performance; we know they are also the measures of their heart!
