Maybe I'm blindly in love. Maybe I don't know the NFL as well as I thought. Maybe I'm just a plain Idiot. Or maybe just maybe Terrell Owens has TO'ed his way out of the HOF with nothing he can do about it. People hate him and always will until he is retired so they can keep him from the ultimate stage. I should of saw it coming with the probowl this season a season in which Terrell Owens lead the league in Touchdowns and failed to get a invite.

This was realized after watching NFL live when both analyist where being asked about what recievers are right now HOF worthy. I watch just enough to hear the sad realization before I had to turn if off in discuss. I couldn't believe that 2 guys getting paid to talk about football wouldn't think of one of the best recievers of the last decade wouldn't make the HOF.

Personally I love Terrell Owens. Now I, nor anyone else on Earth including TO, can defend what he does off the field. No way I can tell you the rhyme or reason to what he does off the field. He's the sports version of Paris Hilton without a sex tape(at least not yet).  It seems he goes home and has a check list of crazy stunts he hasn't done yet. Honestly I speechless when it comes to that.

But on the field Terrell Owens is a comeplete different person. Terrell Owens is one of the best recievers of the post prime Jerry Rice era. Terrell Owens has lead the league in TD's 3 times and been in the top 5 on 2 other occasions. Terrell Owens has been in the top-10 in recieving yards 4 seperate occasions. Terrell Owens is number 4 All-time in recieving touchdowns only trailing Jerry Rice, Chris Carter, and Marverlous regular season Marvin Harrison. Terrell Owens also holds the record for catches in one game.

But TO keeps getting in Terrell Owens way. People forget Terrell Owens caught a game winning catch because TO had an attempted suicide. People won't say anything about Terrell Owens TD against the Giants, which sparked the second biggest comeback in playoff history, because TO getting suspended for disrespecting franchises. People will let Terrell Owens 9-catch 122 yard one legged playoff performance slip thier mind because TO was calling out his quarterback a day later. Yet with all your big moments and career stats Terrell Owens is not a HOFer while Other recievers who have 2 career postseason TD's in 14 career postseasons get a key to the HOF like thier staff(both of those TD's were in the same game by the way.)

I feel bad for Terrell Owens the footbal player at this point. If Terrell Owens never became TO we would marvel as him as a physical speciman. A 6'3 monster with a work ethic that rivals Jerry Rice. People would know Terrell Owens that he helped Three different quarterbacks have monster seasons. Terrell Owens would be the perfect reciever when it came to size strength and speed. But yet it seems at this point Terrell Owens destiny to sit outside the HOF with his 130 career TD's only to wait for TO to doing something else.

I think that Owens is a likely HOFer in the future, but he did not really have a great year last year. Sure, people will remember his good games, but what about his bad games? People will blame his bad pinky, but he had a number of poor outings last season, and if you have a couple sub-par seasons, then your HOF chances decline.

Another thing about TO; he has never had a bad game himself. It's always his coaches not calling plays his way or the quarterback not throwing the ball to his hands. It has never been TO's fault his team lost.

Kevin, So your saying you didn???t hear the press interview after the game in the Wash. last year when he dropped the game winning 75 yard pass right in his hands. Camera???s right on him,,,,,he stated that he ???caused this team to lose this game???.THIS ones on me??? but no???.no one remembers the good things about TO (okay, there???s only a few), but jus the bad.

Let???s see, ???pinky??????..wrong again, torn tended on his ring finger. How about you going out and try catching a football thrown about 35plus MPH. and get back to me and tell me how it feels. Did he complain, make excuses AT ALL why he was having extra trouble catching the ball last year. NO!

What do you mean, not that great numbers???.85 catches / 1070 yards / 13 touchdowns. Anyway you slice that, those are great numbers. Okay, I didn???t say the best???but up near the top, that???s for sure. Oh, and let???s see how many games did they barely even throw his way for the entire first half??????at least 3 games I can think of. Bledsoe hardly threw the ball his way???.that???s six games into the season before Romo came in and his numbers took off. Say what you want about his actions off the field???.on it, he???s in the top 3 in the game, hands down.

TO sucks and makes the NFL look bad everytime that he pulls his sh**. I wish that he would just shutup and play football the way that he could because we all know that he does have the talent to be one of the best. He just needs to keep his head right and his mouth shut.
