Hello and welcome to my blog! This blog is dedicated to all the sports lovers out there. As you may observe from my main blog title, I am a huge Charlotte, NC fan...and I'm not just talking sports fan. I lived in Charlotte, NC for the first 10 years of my life and although I have lived in Maryland for 16 years now, I still consider Charlotte home. My ultimate dream is to one day move back there... Ok, before I put you to sleep, let's talk some hoops. Keep in mind, although I am a NC boy, I try to have an unbiased opinion concerning sports in general, not favoring my teams too much :)
I love the NBA playoffs and usually pull for the underdog. Here is where my mind is today:
1. Avery Johnson. He is an incredible coach. I believe his 'layoff' will produce a 'playoff' team somewhere else...a team that will go beyond the first round and possible back to the Finals.
2. Lakers vs. Jazz tonight. I believe that the Lakers are a very good team, but are a bit overrated. The reason they will get a BIG win tonight is because Kobe Bryant is being honored with the MVP award at home. He will not dissapoint his fans and will have a 35+ point, 10 assist game. Overall, I see the series going 6 games with the Lakers taking it...but watch out next round Kobe.
3. Hornets! Okay, I'm not officially a Hornets fan. They are no longer in New Orleans and my loyalty stays with the PLACE not the TEAM, so I am a Bobcats fan. However, I guess you could say the Hornets are my 'West Coast' team and I'm proud to say the Hornets can never be brought up without mentioning players such an Muggsy, Grandmama, and the Zo! So, go Hornets and I can't wait for them to face the Lakers in the Conference Finals. Yes, I'm an optimistic person. Hornets will beat the Spurs in 6 games.
4. MVP. I am glad Kobe Bryant won it, but I also believe he won it as a result of his entire career and the lack of receiving MVP until now. CP3 will get his turn, maybe even next year. Overall, if Kobe can do everything he did this season with a sprained or maybe even fractured finger, give him the MVP. Hopefully he can hold it up.
5. C'mon Rasheed Wallace! I get nervous when I watch Wallace play because he does more yapping and crying, and record-setting T'n than actually playing ball. Ok, maybe nervous is not the correct word. Annoyed...that's more like it. Don't get me wrong, he has his share of points, rebounds, and blocks, but he should try to start averaging less than 1 T per game. Why do I care about this? He's a, ahem, Tarheel.
Please feel free to leave your comments, suggests, questions, blurbs, anything and everything you like. This is my first bloggin' experience and I wanna make the most of it! :)

i agree with most of what you wrote. i really wish the hornets beat the spurs last round. it would have made for a much more exciting series. i am so bored by the spurs that i have been forced to root for the lakers. yuck. avery will make an excellent coach somewhere else, but rasheed just stinks. haha. MHS!
