Setting Sun? | Great Debates

Well, we are back. I am not shocked Suns??? coach Mike D'Antoni is looking for other pastures, and is not especially concerned about how green those pastures are. After making the Suns matter for the first time since Sir Charles decided to focus on gambling and buffets full time, Phoenix???s brass considered cutting him loose and starting over after the team was bounced by the San Antonio Spurs for the second straight postseason. D'Antoni is now looking to take his act to Chicago, but I am not sure the Bulls are the right fit for his run n??? gun system. Sure, the Bulls have plenty of young, talented athletes capable of running, but where is the point guard to run the whole thing. Look, D'Antoni won???t have a Steve Nash in Chicago. There are very few Steve Nash-types in the league, and none of them are available. Maybe part of the Bulls plan is to trade for a speedy guard with some brains if they land D'Antoni, but this could be difficult. D'Antoni should wait for a better opprutunity. Personally, I would love to see him in Toronto if current Raptors??? coach Sam Mitchell moves on to a ???better??? job. I like D'Antoni chances with Chris Bosh filling the role of Amare and two point capable point guards to work with (including the very quick, but often injured T.J. Ford) to fill the role of Nash. The Raptors simply have more polished young talent than the Bulls. D'Antoni???s system requires certain types of players, particularly a quick, bright PG to pull the whole together. He needs to either give it one more shot with the Nash and the Suns, or wait for a job to open where the personally exist to make his system succesfull. P, how do feel about the Knicks interest in D'Antoni?
