I myself, have not heard anything about plans to fill Erik Coleman's strong-safety spot in the defensive backfield. An active player, Coleman will be missed in my opinion. Looking at the current roster, im not sure who could fill the void best. I've heard thoughts of rookie CB Dwight Lowery being converted to safety, but i think Eric Smith (Big Ten conference scholar athlete of the year; Mangini loves brainy players) or veteran Artrell Hawkins are both a more likely choice, and a better fit.
Anyone know anything about this, or have anything to say?
