Boston Should Thank Their Fans

Even though the Boston Celtics had to take it to seven games with the Atlanta Hawks in the opening round, (a team that only had 37 wins during the regular season), they destroyed them at home in Game 7 by over 30 points. And now, against LeBron James and the Cavs, defending Eastern Conference Champs, they've blown them out at home. So now, in the playoffs, they're 6-0 at home and seem unbeatable, because all the games were blowouts.

However, they're not as good as you think they are, because they're 0-3 on the road against the Hawks. THE HAWKS. THE SUB-.500 8TH SEED TEAM THAT COULD HAVE BATEN THEM FOR THE BIGGEST UPSET IN NBA HISTORY. And now, they go on the road against the Cavs, into the home of LeBron and Daniel Gibson. If they just eked out a win vs. the Hawks, how can they possibly beat the Cavaliers, a much better team than the 4 seed? Maybe Boston just has their fans to thank for their 66 win season. Don't be suprised if it goes down the drain.

You are aware that the Celtics were the best road team in the NBA this year?

What happened in round one versus the Hawks was, ahem, in round one. You can treat that as a sign of what's to come... I'm treating it as a wake up call. They know how to win on the road, as they showed it during the regular season, it's just time for them to exercise it in the post season.

C's in 5-6.

That's a very eneducated statement to make towards the Celtics. Atlanta is one of the MOST ATHLETIC TEAMS in the ENTIRE NBA. And guess what, even with Lebron they are more atletic and agressive. Now right now it's 2-0and were going on the road, and everyone is now thinking we have no chance....Bull. Mac is 100% right #1 Road Team. I seem to remember bigger upsets in NBA history than this "New Team" could never equal like Mavericks Golden State New York with Atlanta and Indiana, Boston Indiana, Phoenix and Portland in 84. With the 2 guys they have in Smith and Johnson they have the ability to slice like the best in the leauge, take contact, RUN. They are definetley the best running team. PLUS, IS IT NOT POSSIBLE THAT A #8 SEED CAN DO SOMETHING PROLIFIC? What if the attack they made was the best in NBA history, but the Celtics dimmed it down? Maybe not, but do not judge a #8 team because they are sub 500 espcially when your team didn't even make the playoffs.
