I'll start off with the results of the two games that went on today.

The Pistons extended their lead to 3 games to 1 today, beating the Magic 90-89 in an exciting game. Detroit came back in the second half and Keyon Doolings technical foul was probobly the vantage point in the game. The series goes back to Detroit for game 5 on Monday.

The Cavs blew out the Celts today in Cleveland. The Celtics have yet to win a road game in the playoffs, which is a shock to me because they had the best road record in the NBA. This gives me doubts going into the last two rounds of the playoffs I doubt they will beat Detroit if they advance because of their lack of road prowess in the postseason. Great teams win on the road and the Celts can not do that right now. Look for the Cavs to take the Celts to 7 and if the Celts win, look for an early exit against Detroit.

Now to the breaking news

Mike D'Antoni has been named the new coach of the New York Knickerboxers. This would be a good move if a) the Knicks had a Steve Nash type point guard which they don't (strike one). b) If the Knicks had a fast, athletic team, which they don't (Randolph/Curry have bigger **** than WNBA players) (strike 2). And if the Knicks had some three point shooters on their team, which as of today, they don't (strike 3). Now that he has three strikes against him I want to say how this could work and why it won't. It could work because the Knicks have some pieces that D'Antoni could use, especially Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford, and David Lee. This is the meat of the team. If they could cut off the fat(Randolph/Curry pun indended) they could have some success down the road. This won't work because the Knicks horrible front office doesn't have the padding in their knickerbokers to make a trade and D'Antoni doesn't work good with big men(reference O'Neal, Shaq). So this might be a disaster. D'Antoni should have triend to go to Dallas.

Speaking of which

The Dallas Mavs named Rick Carlise their new head coach today. This is a good move and I don't have much analysis on this other than the fact that the GM's of Phoneix and Dallas should have been fired and not the coaches because of the horrible trades they made. Dallas' future is grim because of the JKidd trade and how old the team has become in its result. They will have one good playoff run befor JKidd is gone though.

That is the blog have a good night and a plesant tomorrow
