Oh almost forgot. ABC ran a piece at halftime about when San Antonio won the draft lottery. Coach Poppavich "Pop" as some of his players affectionatley call him went down to Saint Croix and got to know the beffey but talented rookie from Wake Forest. Anyway back to the story, Pop got to know Tim and they swam in the beautiful land of Saint Croix and talked about basketball as well. They walked in the streets that week and peopel knew tim as "Timmy". He wasn't a star like a Texas High School Football player he was a normal Croix native who happened to be good at basketball. This occured in 1997 so a decade later Tim Duncan has three NBA Finals rings. He owns the stats in basically every category in Spurs history (3,000 something points wow). I found this to be a really cool feature and I learned all of this by watching the game a little more closley. So game two on Sunday NBA Fans, Fannation Who's ready, I am. Until tomorow's fresh blog post, I am Patrick Tighe the Sports Bloggin Guy!

I saw that piece during the Jazz series with the Spurs. I thought it was interesting because I'm sure a lot of coaches don't go and stay in the hometown of the player they're going to draft.
