Will the Boston Herald be investigated by Congress?

Boston fans Should Boycott The Boston Herald and its sponsors

Boston fans, we have a traitor in our midst, and it is the Boston Herald, and all Boston fans should boycott the Boston Herald and its sponsors, whether they are fans of the Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, or the New England Revolution  (take note you 3 Revolution fans).   This rag, which purports to report the sports news of Boston, is noting more than a poor copy cat of the National Enquirer and other gossip trash publications.  First, the Herald uses a single unnamed source to spew lies about the Patriots taping the Rams Super Bowl walkthrough.  We now know that was a lie, and the Herald did not even speak to Walsh about the authenticity of this story before throwing it out there.  Now, this morning the Herald is bashing the Celtics because they lost in Cleveland - talk about a fair weather home town newspaper.  The Herald has also been guilty of bashing, spreading rumors, and reporting negative and misleading stories about the Sox and Bruins.  In short, the Herald is NOT a hometown newspaper; does not support the home town teams; and publishes half truths and totally inappropriate negative stories.  We should encourage the Patriots and Mr. Kraft to sue the Herald for slander for its baseless allegations concerning taping the Rams.  And if you want to actually hear the lunatic ranting of one of the Herald's trashy writers, tune into WEEI and listen to the sick pathetic sound of  Jerry Callahan, a prime example of what every sports writer and radio commentator should strive NOT to be like.  And as for Senator Arlen Spector who has been sticking his big fat nose into this Herald story, perhaps you should hold a congressional hearing on the Herald and ask that newspaper why they published a boldfaced lie and failed to check references and sources, including the primary source they said did the filming.

So the Herald has gotten that bad huh ?..i only read the sports section on line now since i moved to Dallas..them and the Globe and usually just for signings updates and game recaps..i don't usually delve into a particular sportswriters bashing..but i trust your judgement and thanks for the warning.

I'm about to switch to the Globe myself. I always read the Herald, but I think I have to part ways with the Herald like I did the Boston Metro for their biased reporting. It was very irresponsible for the Herald, being a Boston paper, to publish a story like this that has no merit. BYE Herald!!!!

Somebody needs to be sued for a story that wasn???t true and probably got in the players heads right before the biggest game of their life. Matt Walsh could have said that he didn???t have that tape of the walk through in the first place as well. Why did it need to take three months to figure that out?
