There is a large amount of luck involved in fantasy football.  Injuries can sink the mightiest battleship of a team, and fluke stat lines from unknown players can send home the best team ever assembled in the first round of the playoffs.  So before anyone enters into a fantasy league, know that that the most knowledgeable NFL fan on the planet has no guarantee of success.

However, there is far more to being successful in fantasy football than there is in, say, winning the lottery.  It is not pure chance.  Success is predicated on knowledge.  It is not the only factor involved, but it is the most determining factor that you can control.

The purpose of this blog is to explore the aspects of fantasy football that are under your control and, most importantly, how to exploit them.  The first full length post will be on what you can glean from rosters and scoring systems.
