Is it over? The question on everyones mind after the meeting between Walsh and goodell this morning. Here is my take and what i beleive. If your a patriots fan well, i'd hate to be you.(no offense)
First off i'd like to say i think the Patriots deserve another punishment. And thank God for Senator Spector or nothing would get done, because Goodel Is to stuburn to admit they diserved a harsher punishment.
Next ill point out some key things to me. I dont beleive that the tapes had no effect on the game during it was taped because walsh said he handed to someone else and he doesnt no where it went. Well how can he be sure they didnt use it? They also taped teams that wernt in their divison, so why go through the trouble of taping them if you wouldnt play them again? Ill tell you why because he used the tapes at half-time to make adjustments. Also, Belicheck was caught in alie that was seemingly unnoticed bt Goodel. he said that he though he was "within the rules" when he taped it. Well thats obviously a lie becaus ehe told walsh not to get caught. If he thought what he was doing was infact legal he wouldn't have worried about that. The patriots cheated which may have led to their 3 superbowl wins. They messed up the last 7-8 years of football and what happens? they lose a draft pick, and get fined $250,00 to the patriots, which isn;t that bad for a million dollar organization, and the coach also loses $500,00. So i guess you can by wins. So i know many people disagree with me, but i really don't care. And for the question is it over. I think so, unfortunatly. But I will pray that Spector has some fricken balls and can convince Goodel hes wrong.

This is not an issue for a congressional investigation. Let the NFL handle it. Congress should be looking in these outrageous gas prices instead.

Report Offensive CommentJust because you chose to believe Wash, doesn't me Belichick lied to the commissioner.
Also Walsh held the tapes in his possession until after the games and then handed some of them over to someone else. No game tape was ever used in-game.
He obviously didn't turn over all the tapes, as he just gave 8 of them to the NFL.
He wanted his 15 minutes of fame and he got it and now its over.
