1. Mike Modano, Stars: His first goal in eight games couldn't have come at a more opportune time. Not only did the goal win the Stars' first game of the series, it pushed him to the top of the all-time playoff points list for American players (he took the all-time points lead for U.S. skaters earlier this season). On the power play, Modano found a little space in the slot and one-timed a Sergei Zubov pass past Detroit goalie Chris Osgood.

2. Brenden Morrow, Stars: End to end, the Stars captain continues to lead Dallas, injured or not. Finishing his forechecks and then staying in the play, the winger carved out space in front of the net, took a pass from Mike Ribeiro on the side boards, and scored the much-needed insurance goal that sealed the win and sent the series back to Detroit. The score continued Morrow's six-game point streak.

3. Pavel Datsyuk, Red Wings: As strong as Dallas goalie Marty Turco was between the pipes, the Detroit center deserves some snaps. Coming off his first career playoff hat trick in Game 3, Datsyuk had two almost-goals in Game 4. On the Red Wings power play, with teammate Tomas Holmstrom screening Turco, Datsyuk fired one to the far post that was immediately disallowed for a questionable goalie interference. Later in the third period, with the Wings down by a goal, Datsyuk rushed in and shot on Turco, who made the save and covered the rebound just as the whistle blew and a collision pushed him into his own net. Two tough breaks, but he still notched the assist on Detroit's only goal.
