Denver Broncos 2008 First Half of The Season Predictions!

Mon. September 08,2008 @ Oakland Raiders.  Denver usually never plays well on Monday nights, plus the Hated Raiders are playing @ home and new Running back Darren MacFadden should help them get a win.  Sun. September 14,2008 San Diego Chargers come to town riding L.T's powerful legs and Phillip Rivers' cocky attitude will outscore a young Broncos' offense.  New Orleans Saints arrive Sun. Sept.21 2008, Drew Brees has a terrible day throwing for more picks than touchdowns to give the new and improved Broncos their first win of the young season.  Sunday Sept.28th an early game @ Kansas City, Chiefs have too many new players and too many holes to fill, Broncos squeak out a win on the fresh legs of their running back committee.  Sunday, October 05, 2008 Tampa Bay comes to the Mile High City with no quality Q.B. this game should give confidence to a young and improved Defense!  A Broncos win.  Jacksonville Jaguars visit Invesco Field @ Mile High on Sun. Oct.12th 2008, their running game is too strong for these linebackers at this stage of the season.  A Broncos loss.  Monday night Oct. 20th 2008, @ New England Patriots.  The Pats have too much offense for this younger and less experienced Broncos Defense. A Broncos loss.  Sunday Nov. 02, 2008 Miami Dolphins visit an angry Broncos team looking to get a win at any cost.  Miami doesn't stand a chance, Cutler has his best game of the season. A Broncos win.   So the first half of the 2008 season finds the Broncos at 4-4 and still with a chance in the tough AFC West, their toughest part of the schedule is over and the team is gaining valuable experience that will prove helpful with all their young draft picks and second year players.  Both the offense and defense are starting to jell, but the special teams are showing signs of life with new punt/kick returner Eddie Royal scoring a couple of long TD's.  Shanahan has finally had the breakthrough draft that he's been waiting for years...

Why call Rivers cocky was it the wave? Well Philip wasn't the one waving and Do you honestly think Cutler didn't say something back?

But I think the Cheifs will be better then most people expect. Their D is much better than people give them credit for. But the Broncos will beat the Raiders. The Broncos are in for a tough season, they filled alot of holes mainly drafting Clady and selvin young is pretty good but they still don't have a bonified run stuffer. Over all I feel 8-8 if Tony Shcefler can give Cutler a good target over the middle.

Good blog and analysis overall. What irks me is that everyone is still saying that we're waiting for that breakout draft, yet most of the players drafted in 2006 are now starters (Cutler, Scheffler, Dumervil, Marshall. . .the list goes on). So my question is why does everyone continue to say that we haven't had a breakout draft yet just two years ago we started a new era?

Broncos will be 7-1 or 8-0 in first half. Much improved on offensive and defensive ines and improvement by current starters at skilled positions will surprise everyone. Shannahan will make believers out of those who doubted him.
