Good morning everyone, I hope your fantasy teams were delivering in all fasets last night...but if they weren't then you've come to the right place. Let's get right into it...
Go Get
Chris Snyder
After a slow start Snyder is picking it up. In the last month he's hitting .333 with 3 HR and 18 RBI. Very steady numbers at the catcher position. He's available in the leagues I'm in (unless I've picked him up recently). This is mainly because of his slow start. Take a flier on him because he's in on of the best lineups in baseball so he'll have good oportunities to impact all offensive categories.
Scott Rolen
Scott has quietly put together very nice numbers since coming off the DL. He's hitting .300 with 2HR. Since May 7th, he has 5 multi hit games (over a 9 game period). If he stays healthy he could put up numbers similar to 06 when he hit 22HR 95RBI and hit .296. That is a big if, but if you need a steady 3B or CI, he's a good option for you.
Akinori Iwamura
I touched on him the other day. Wednesday he went 0for against the Yankees but came back Thursday with a game leadoff homerun, and 2 for 3 with 2 runs overall. If he's still available, pick him up right away.
Stay Away:
Craig Monroe
If you look at his numbers from the last week he looks like a good pickup if you need pop. But take a look closer. The 2 HR came in one game, the 6 RBI came over 2 games. Since his 2 HR game he's struck out more times than he's gotten a hit, stay away, he'd end up being the guy you pick up and release a few days later with a smoking 1 for 10.
Have a great weekend everyone! I will talk to you all again on Monday!
