The Red Sox opened as a -200 money line favorite to beat the Brewers tonight. It looked like a great bet as I stated in my previous post. The problem is everyone else thinks so too, so the money line is currently at -265. That is enormous swing on a money line.
If I were a bettin' man, I wouldn't bet this game anymore, and I would cancel any bets I had made on Boston by betting on the Brewers.
There is so much money on the Red Sox in this game that it becomes a prime target for a fixed game. Vegas won't take a big hit if they don't have to. I'm not saying the game is fixed; I am just saying it presents itself as that kind of game so I wouldn't bet it. I wouldn't bet Suppan, though. He is really not any good.
I would look at Johan Santana and the Mets getting upset by Rasner and the Yankees. Santana is always overrated on the money lines. You can get a +133 line on the Yankees at home and that is pretty good.
Another underdog I like would be Kansas City at +130. The Royals are playing good ball and the Marlins are playing sloppy lately. Royals could get a win on the road.
