1. Marty Turco, Stars: Dallas almost lost control of Game 4 on Wednesday when Turco let in a soft Henrik Zetterberg shot just 72 seconds after the Stars took a 1-0 lead. That wasn't going to happen today. The netminder blocked all 22 shots he faced after Joel Lundqvist gave Dallas a 2-1 lead early in the second period on the way to a Game 5 victory, his first ever in Detroit. Turco also chipped in with an assist to complement his 38-save performance.
2. Joel Lundqvist, Stars: The checking winger was the afternoon's offensive hero, scoring the game-winner on an early second period two-on-one rush. But he was equally impressive away from the puck, using his speed and tenacity to help shut down Detroit's top line and force the Wings into taking two penalties.
3. Kris Draper, Red Wings: He played a pivotal role in neutralizing Brenden Morrow -- almost knocking his block off with a third period cross check -- but it was his remarkable success in the faceoff circle, where he won 17 of 19 draws, that defined Draper's afternoon.
