This week everyone in my town was talking about interleague play.To most people this is what they look foward to,seeing who has bragging rights for the rest of the year and who has to deal with all the bull that the other fans throw at them.Theres the Mets/Yankees,the Dodgers and Angles,Reds and Tribe,Houston/Texas,O's Nats and many more,all good rivilerys that mean more for there fans then there team.

As much as everyone cares about it,I was one of the few kids in all of Jersey that was looking toward the Sprint Cup All-Star race.Yes I know no A-Rod,Jeter,Reyes,Wright but who really cares.The week started off with the Pit Crew challenge.The challenge was amazing,I mean all the teams where battling it out to see which pit crew was the fastest and knew the most about the cars.Even though my favorite driver lost in the finals it was so close,both teams the 83 and 11 wefinished less then a second after each other,both crossed the line at about the same time but the 83 was just a tad bit faster.The challenge kicked off this just amazing weekend and was better then all the baseball money could buy.

Even before the race there were kids racing,one had a really really bad wreck yet he still ended up getting put of his car,just look at this

Anyway the all star race is one of the best events in the NASCAR season,first its the spinouts(which Kyle won),all the drivers get to spin there cars out like they won the race,its a victory celebration before the race and its a ball to watch.After the race its the shootout.The shootout consist of 40 drivers racing there hearts out to make the race.Normally the race is filled with wrecks and drama as the drivers try to get one of the top two spots so they get to be in the All-Star race.Also theres a fan vote,you click on one of the 40 who you want to be in the race and whoever gets the most votes also gets to compete in the race.Becuase two of my three favorite drivers are in the race I voted more then 100 times for David Reutimann,I would have voted more but I guess I reached my limit since theres no vote button on the bottom of the page anymore.Anyway all this leads up to the race.Loews Motor Speedway.Loes Motor Speedway is one of the best racetracks in all of Nascar.Theres so much history at the place and everyone puts on there best show because all the race shops are less then thirty minutes away from there.All the drivers want to win for there homecroud and family that get to watch the race live and visit the pit boxes and go behind the sceen of Nascar.Even though theres no points for winning the race there is a one million dollar prize which makes even the worst driver look like a star.Everyone tries there best to win and there always seems to be a ton of wrecks making this one of the best sporting events of the year.

I really dont see why all you are so hyped up about interleague play.Yes bragging rights are at stake but Ive been winning arguements that the O's are better then the Yankees gor the past five years even though weve never finished over .500 Also the games dont mean much,two wins isnt going to make your entire season.I mean last year the Mets and Yankees tied, and did that make a differnce NO,the year before the Yankees took 4-6 from the Mets yet they still didnt make any noise in the playoffs.It just goes to show ehats another mans trash aka All Star race is another mans tresure.
