There was a decent slate of games in the MLS this week with the season heating up and the pretenders seperating from the contenders it should be an interesting couple of weeks.
Toronto FC kept their unbeaten streak alive on thier notoriously loud and windy home turf, BMO Field. They now have an unbeaten streak of five games stretchin from their third game of the season. They had many chances, but couldn't convert and the game ended in a nil-nil draw.
San Jose suffered another heartbreaking loss to New England on Saturday, puting them even farther in the Western Conference basement. New England's Kheli Dube scored six minutes in and benifited on a own goal seventeen minutes later.
The Houston Dynamo won an exiting match against the Chicago Fire in the final minutes with Bobby Boswell scoring in the eighty second minute. Ricardo Clark from Houston scored and Calen Carr potted one for Chicago, who in a rare showing let in two goals last night.
The Red Bulls tied Kansas City last night in Giants Stadium, with Danleigh Borman scoring with nine minutes left erasing the lead Kansas City held for most of the match.
Chivas USA dismantled DC United yesterday. DC held a one goal lead for most of the match until the last thirty minutes were Chivas went on a scoring barrage to get an exciting goal filled three-one win.
On Thursday Colarado beat Salt Lake in the battle of Utah 2-0 on ESPN's prime-time Thursday matchup. It was pretty much a stalemate until the 65th minute when Omar cummings potted one and Colarado added a pk in the closing minutes to give them a 2-nil win and bragging rights in their state.
And today in a Sunday matchup, Los Angeles and Dallas go head to head. Look for the leagues argueably greatest player in Landon Donovan to continue his goal scoring barrage against Dallas and get the Galaxy a crucial win.
