I think Daunte Culpepper to the Lions would be a good fit. With the acquisition of Calvin Johnson at wideout and existing receivers Roy Williams and Mike Furrey they could use a QB with a big arm to get the ball down the field. Add in Offensive Coordinator "Wiz Kid" Mike Martz calling the plays for Daunte and assisting him with reading coverages I think they could have big success. Many have questioned Daunte's ability to read defenses and decision making in addition to him being overrated that his playing of "Jump Ball" with Randy Moss was the reason for his moderate success. I think he was put in a system in Miami that didn't fit his style as well as being rushed back a bit to early affected his health and confidence. I know this is all contingent upon Daunte's health but from what I've been reading he is pretty close to 100%. Plain and simple this is a guy who just 3 years ago if you subtracted Peyton Manning's magical season would have easily ran away with MVP and had one of the best seasons in the history of the game. Randy Moss or not!! The guy does deserve another chance to show the goods and people shouldn't write him off so soon.

no need. Kitna's just fine. he made Mike Furrey look great last year; that's saying something.

Kitna is solid but, like he said, Culpepper has a better arm and this will let them stretch the field. Take a look at my article on Culpepper if you get a chance.
